Undercliffe Cemetery Photos, The number of interments rose throughout the 19th century reaching a peak of 2466 in 1898. When I travelled to Britain in September 2001, Undercliffe Cemetery was not on my list of places, where I had planned to visit. In 1985 a new Limited Liability Cemetery Company was formed, with council backing. Grade II* Park and Garden: Undercliffe Cemetery. The Friends of Undercliffe Cemetery was therefor formed and after considerable pressure the Bradford Metropolitan Council purchased the site in 1984. The eastern side was used for nonconformist burials, the western side for Anglicans. Bradford's history and heritage told in stone.
